Hey there, I'm Kelly, the heart and soul behind Cardinal Barns and I'm your typical millennial dog mom, on a mission to give my pups the best life they deserve. When I moved to sunny San Diego with my beloved huskies, Adele and Hera, we fell in love with the beautiful weather, stunning beaches, and countless dog-friendly adventures.

 

The truth is, I yearned for more adventures with my dogs, but my previous jobs left me with precious little time. Back in my marketing job, I was always anxious and worked non-stop. Without my dogs, I’m not sure I could’ve made it through those tough times. They flooded my life with love and gave me strength to tackle each day reminding me of life’s essential joys.

Sadly, Hera crossed the rainbow bridge in April 2023. Her love was truly inspiring, and it motivated me to start a business centered around sharing that love. So, I made a life-changing decision. I said goodbye to my job and set out on a journey to create a business that enhances the lives of both pets and their owners while contributing to a greener planet.

What sets our brand apart is our unwavering dedication to the California way of life – a lifestyle that encourages outdoor adventures, healthy living, and environmental mindfulness. We meticulously select eco-friendly materials and processes to ensure our products are gentle on the planet. Our products are built to handle the everyday adventures of active dogs, staying strong through daily wear and tear.
